Many times I’ve said that BCN is not my place, not my city. However, being objective and after living and visiting many other towns around the world, I have no doubt that Barcelona is one of the best cities (if not the best) to settle down.
It’s a multicultural hub with people from all around the world, it has a really accessible size, it’s pretty safe and economically affordable, it has both quiet and never-sleeping neighbourhoods, you can be swimming in the Mediterranean and, in less than 1h, be hiking in Tibidabo. etc. Etcetera. Etcetera. And if you get tired of the city, you can make it to the Pyrenees or Costa Brava in less than 2h!
Definitely, not many other cities can compete with the traits of Barcelona
