I guess it’s inevitable to feel a bit of shame (as well as nostalgic), whenever you look back on your first works. But at the same time, I think it’s a necessary exercise to look to ourselves from an external point of view: from the present to the past and from the past to the present.
Death Traceurs was my first video project when I was only 16yo: with a VHS camcorder, my beloved Windows XP and a frenetic 512kbps connection. The video simply shows my friends playing parkour (amateur, like my production) around the town. However, this project allowed me to learn a lot, since I was responsible for the music, the film and the edition.
Several weeks of work compressed in 5min. But luckily, time is not a big issue when you’re 16!
